Cockytalk is Saying Shaw has a broken shoulder blade

Saying that is occurred against Vandy.......If this is true then that validates my belief that Spurrier puts winning above his players safety and the old ball sack is actually danger to his players. He wants to go out into the sunset as a champion so bad that his players are nothing more than cannon-fodder.
I really hate USC, but this is on a different level than a rivalry

but winning ballgames, with the no punishment, hand slaps, etc. with all of the off the field stuff they have had over the years...and there's been a lot. It's been my observation though that I don't think any s.carolina fans care.

they will put up with about ANYTHING their "Demi-God" Spurrier will do. Most of the fans that I know are decent people and they HATED him at UF. They are just hitching thier trailer to that old mule that they think will get them to an SEC Championship. How sad.

Law suits....no. Inherent risk to the game he played. I.E. he was injured on a play that was not uncommon to the game.
On the other hand it looks very and I MEAN VERY bad on his side. This is going to be in the minds of high school recruits and coaches. You don't ruin a players career intentionally.

It's still very open to lawsuits. Because of the inherent risk argument, no player can sue the school, coach, NCAA, etc. for the ACTUAL INJURY, since it was foreseeable that injury might happen playing football.
However, if a coach sends a player into a game knowing that the player has a broken shoulder blade ALREADY, and the player gets damages as a result, then there's definitely the possibility of a negligence suit against the coach, or the school via vicarious liability. That's a totally different issue.
Don't think it will happen, but inherent risk doesn't work to dismiss that suit.

No freaking way anyone is ever going to win a law suit because they were injured and played in a sporting event. For one.....nobody forced anybody to go onto the field. Your not holding a gun to the kids head saying get out there. For another reason if you do that the whole sporting world will go bankrupt. Can't imagine the number of bogus lawsuits that would come up

He didn't even need to play this week and risk re-injuring his shoulder.
