Clemson has a great coach, GOOD LUCK Tigers!

Mar 17, 2014, 2:06 PM

I'm a new Clemson fan and have been a Brownell fan since UNCW days. I am an alum at UNC Wilmington and it's amazing how the AD let Brad leave. Since he left, our BB program sucks and it hasn't even come close to recovering.

I've been looking at the message board here and looking to see how people feel about not making the big dance. You should have made it and I'm a bit surprised that NC State is in and Clemson had a better record. The ACC should have had at least 1 more team and maybe even 2 more teams in.

You have a great coach and next year your team will be in the tournament. I won't be surprised to see a Clemson victory vs UNC Chapel Hill next year too! Good luck in the NIT and I'm happy to see the support from the school and the AD for Brad. This guy is a proven winner and he will win at Clemson! ENJOY

I'm a UNC-W grad as well, although much older than you as I graduated in 1984. I played tennis for UNC-W, lived at Wrightsville Beach by Johny Mercer's pier for several years, loved Wilmington (still do). I grew up in SC and part in NC but have always been a rabid Clemson fan.

I know how bad UNC-W's BB program has been since Brad left and it is light years from what he took it to. BB is a fantastic coach and is now starting to get his "sea legs" under him recruiting-wise. No one is going to out-coach him, out-prepare him so I am very confident, if we can keep him here, he will have great success relative to Clemson basketball.
