Clemson football twitter passed Alabama for # of followers

we are now 2nd in the country behind only Michigan in terms of followers for the official football twitter

all numbers in the thousands

1. Michigan 697.4
2. Clemson 678
3. Alabama 659.4

Those are by far and away the top 3

only other school that are over 500K followers

LSU 531.7
Georgia 511.8
Notre Dame 502

called the other day to tell me something about CLemson and I asked how she knew that. She said,"Oh I follow Clemson on my Tweeter"................needless to say I busted a gut laughing.

just last year the twitter account only had about 400K followers and it's expanded a ton. Obviously the season and the title help but you have to expand theistical media base regardless of results. Some really big programs like Ohio State only have about 130k followers.
