Chief Osceola is buried on Sullivan's Island just a few mile

from Charleston. He was a prisoner at Fort Moultrie and died while in captivity. I have attached pics of his grave and plaque that I took yesterday and I post these pics with much respect for him and FSU. Tallahassee is a tough place to play. I respect what they have down there and what they have accomplished over the years. To win a game there and a night is a tall task. Proud of my Tigers!!! They won that game with the heart of a champion.

BTW Osceola was captured by our country under very shady circumstances. While he was negotiating peace talks with our government in St. Augustine, FL he was captured and soon transferred to Fort Moultrie. I am proud to say that while he was here he was given many privileges that prisoners don't get. He was allowed to see plays at the Dock Street Theater in Charleston among other things. He was treated here with a sense of royalty even though he was a prisoner. When he died he was given a military funeral.

Again I am proud of my Tigers!! GREAT victory.

Thanks for posting. Interesting comments. Thought he would have been buried in FLA.
