Can't we have access to a practice/scrimmage?

Don't understand the lock-down secrecy for fans at practices and scrimmages. I would love to take my son to a practice or scrimmage.....he is dying to see his Tigers, especially since there are no "pre-season games.
Why such a lock-down? You see thousands of people attend NFL teams practices and scrimmages. The Philadelphia Eagles drew like 22,000 and 30,000 fans at recent practices in the stadium. I think we would draw similar interest.
What harm would it be to open up 1 practice and 1 scrimmage to the loyal Clemson fans? I don't get it.

I know a guy who isn't affiliated with any of the coaches or players and he had no problem getting in. He managed to stream some of the scrimmage on Facebook live.

It'd be a great thing, and perhaps on that occasion they could kind of carefully control things and dog-and-pony it for the fans, carry on business as if it was the natural way. That said, you're looking at a big crowd to show up, crowd control, parking, and a zoo atmosphere, so how are you gonna' open up that can? As it stands, I can see they are very protective about things now that the whole world's looking glass is on them, and they would just rather keep wraps on and tight. I can see how media and player-access control have become such a big thing these days, esp. when you've got social media - I bet that's difficult to control also - players letting out information thru social media. And on and on.

ready in fall camp. Turning two of those opportunities into a big circus would hardly help. That's what the spring game is for.
