Buddy of mine was an official at scrimmage and he said

our offense is really fast and obvious Boyd is the leader of the team, as his presence was missed. BUT he thought we would have the same issues as last season with our o-line, which he said looked smaller, being able to hold protection and that defenses will press our receivers so they can't get separation early to allow for more pressure from the corners. (Disclosure, he is a reasonable chicken fan, which I know sounds like an oxymoron) Thinks or defense will be much better, some serious athletes and front looks impressive. FWIW.
Go Tigers!!

May not be, just his impression. Several guys have indicated that they have lost "bad weight", though I would agree that is not necessarily a bad thing.

Was wondering the same thing. Our OL is actually bigger this season with Battle, Beasley, Norton, Thomas, Timothy, and on. Our OL is going to be a strength of this team. Odd commentary.

Your "disclosure" makes this post null and void. Everybody knows that Coots don't understand the game.

The better question is
1. Why are we hiring scar fans to ref our scrimmages where a lot of our playbook is opened up
2. I'd venture to say he refs scar scrimmages as well. Most of those guys run in circles with a booking ref
put 1 and 2 together.....don't care too much for that

High school coach I work with went this weekend said d front 7 looked really good...secondary was really a major concern. O line, recs, qb looked good but RB was as concern... Big bro pig from last year.

In the end M. Alexander and several freshmen will push for immediate starting and playing time. Wiggins was impressive in Shrine Bowl practices, he can play corner or safety. I think he will surprise many. They can cover and our current DB's are suspect. J leggete looks like a star in the making on video. He looks like a big WR. His speed will open things up for our running game. I think Dye and or Gallman will push our current starter and backup for immediate playing time.
