got to get rid of him. The style he plays doesnt attract recruits or win games especially in the acc. you cant have 30 point offensive performance and expect a win in the ACC. i know he had injuries and he was young but purnells first season he was young and averaged around 60 points. Until we get rid of Brownell the fan base will be slim and recruiting will be horrific. So dont get excited fans cause this story has no happy ending to it.

You're forgetting a great deal of the OP tenure by just remembering the NCAA tourney years. He took a long time to finally get there.

I like Brownell however I think the style of offense will hurt his recruiting efforts. Clemson is already a tough sell and to have a slow tempo offense makes it tougher. The question the new AD may have is will he be able to recruit the talent needed to make this a winning program.

Nothing fake about 2 empty recruiting classes.
One due to Purnells best class being composed of nothing but busts.
One due to OP leaving town in the middle of the night LATE in the recruiting cycle.
Both of those are facts and have lead to the lack of experience we have now.

He came in with a team that made it to the NCAA Tourney 3 years in a row and look where we are now. Look at basketball recruits today, they're scorers and no one wants to play on the Deaf and Blind offense clemson has

Brownell WON on his first trip, first season, with Purnell's leftovers. No Trevor Booker, 1 senior. Purnell never WON in the tourney.
