Yeah, 247 rates him as a 4-star and Nyles Pinckney is not rated......Yet, Rivals and ESPN has him as a 2-star and Pinckney a 4-star on both sites. Who you gonna believe.

Second thought, I just pulled this off Scout... They still have Pinckney NR, and they have Rashaun Smith listed as a DE. Clueless is the word that comes to mind for me.

I definitely ain't no coot and generally don't care about their recruiting but I saw this kid play back in August against Shelby HS. Rico Dowdle may not have a lot of stars by his name but this kid is a baller. He was very athletic and it was very obvious the he was the best/fastest player on the field that night. Admittedly, Shelby HS is very small and the competition may not be to the level of a bigger school like Dorman HS or Spartanburg HS - but this kid was a one man show for his team. After watching him play I looked into who was recruiting him and at the time it was just Wake Forest. Hate to see him go to USuC as he may really be a diamond in the rough....

Come on now these are just Kids 17 years old Somebodys son ,.,
He is probably thrilled to be recruited by a larger school .,
Back when I played you got letters from schools and I remember how thrilled I was to get a letter .,
Then I got a ruptured appendix just as school started and I fell out at practice ,., didn't
get any more letters .,

Yep, these are just 17 year old kids that will be playing against us for at least the next year or two to come, and already is the next coming of ML for them. My comment isnt directed towards the kid, its the silly chicken fanbase.

I also saw Rico Dowdle play against Shelby which is a 2A school that I avidly support, but in my opinion Rico was the best I saw all year. If he sticks with USUC, they got a steal. Do not put much into Shelby being small, as they won their 3rd straight state championship, with only loss 40-33 to 3AA champ Crest. Better than the Emmons kid from Freedom,{Alabama}, or Harbison from Crest {Virginia} in my opinion. Will not be a QB on the next level, but is the real deal.

This kid is good. Wouldn't suprise me at all if turned out like Vic Beas. He will probably run into same problem Cj spiller did though. Great talent no real blocking to spring him.
