Better TE? Ford Or Allen? Why?

If you look at stats: Dwayne Allen, TE 50rec -598 12.0 Long-54 TD 8 Brandon Ford, TE 40rec -480 12.0 Long-69 TD 8
Allen super athletic but cried cause he didn't get the ball, consistently someone you can count on in any game at anytime.
Ford the 10 pass that Allen has over him he dropped in the beginning of the season. Not as athletic(Dag near stiff after he caught the ball) but at the middle and end of the season was just as consistent as Allen and Palmer was their final season.
The question has been on my mind all season and I think Ford deserves a little bit of credit for improving and not pouting...I like both of these guys, but I have to go with Allen

Ford did come along late in the season but I don't think he can compare to DA.

... think Bennie Cunningham may have been just as good if not a bit better than Allen.
Problem for Cunningham is the teams he played on outside of 1974 team were just God awful.
On the Steelers he was pretty dang good, got himself a few Super Bowl rings.

At 250-260 lbs, Bennie was big for a TE in those days,

and he punished a lot of LBs and DBs. I don't know if one man alone ever brought him down.

Allen all the way. Ford was a solid replacement, other than the stiff hands early and the no YAC you mentioned. Allen was a stud TE. Ford was a workable TE.

Allen by a landslide. Although Ford did ball out this past year and I appreciate what he accomplished

Allen a better blocker is the only edge I give DA.

Wanting the ball in clutch situations is the sign a true competitor. Allen had a couple of big time catches that he went up for and came down with.

Imagine what he would have done if he would have came back to play his senior year. I doubt Ford will be voted the best rookie TE in the NFL like Allen was this year. I like Ford a lot but I don't ever remember DA83 dropping a pass.
It will be nice to see Palmer, Allen and Ford break out next year in the NFL, maybe CU will be known as Tight End U

Whitehurst vs Boyd Whitehurst 4-0 against USC,but no ACC Championship. Boyd,0-2 against the coots but with an ACC Championship. My point. Why do we have to compare players? Why can't we just appreciate what each did for the program.
