everyone here knows you're bias and you favor Batson and that great but the fact of the matter is, Clemson players are by far too weak up front and they show almost no fight against adversity. You can sit here and tell us how much player bench and how Batson used chains and bands.....big deal i did the same thing in the military and when playing JUCO ball..and just because you push or pull weight doesn't make you strong, intense, fight and take pride in what you do while on the field...Clemson gets man handled by smaller and more fit players year in and year out.
Clemson has tried every other method for success on the football field BUT to move/fire Batson. its time for a change and if that change doesnt work so be it but Clemson football wont know untill they make the move...i am all for the move towards the future. and its a shame Joey’s uncle is Louis Batson, former BOT Chairman and current trustee; so we all know he will never be moved.

Is he your daddy or something. Any objective viewer knows that we have one of the worst S&C programs in the NCAA. We have 330lb O linemen getting pushed around by Wofford...and they get worse as the season goes on.

No. @ 0:18, reporter says he heard the CU D asked for mercy
Jan 13, 2012, 12:57 AM
|
|
... and he asked the WVU defensive player if he heard that. The WVU defensive player said no, but the Clemson offensive players were asking the WVU defense for mercy. So, unless the reporter was making it up (which is possible), apparently both Clemson's offense and defense were asking WVU for mercy. I believe it.
The ironic thing is that after the ACCCG, Dabo launched his "quitter" tirade, apparently at the fans. Maybe he should get his players onboard first before whining at the fans.

They're not on the field playing against each other.
It's pretty obvious to me that the reporter had just been interviewing the offensive players. I believe it, with 95% a confidence level, but I can't be 100% sure.
What's your percent confidence level?
It's ironic that Dabo complained that the fans are quitters when his team apparently quit.

Hope that it means Batson is getting reassigned to somewhere else in the AD so he can coast to state retirement otherwise it is pathetic.

Well, I am almost 43 years old. I have been a Clemson fan for practically my whole life. The past two decades have been pure hell.
The Clemson Administration KILLED Clemson football in 1990. During the period to follow, I have come back year-after-year hoping things will be different. I wanted tough, physical football in which the team played at its potential.
However, the past 15 years has seen a carousel of coaching firings and hirings, and nothing changes. I figured Herring being fired in 2001 would fix things. It didn't. Lovett got canned. Nothing changed. O'Cain followed. Mad Scientist Spence proved to be a failure.
Tommy Bowden FINALLY had to move on when he hit rock bottom. Koenning out would bring tough, aggressive defense, right? WRONG. Out goes Steele to give the masses hope, as Caldwell was going to do the same when Brad Ketchup Scott moved to a pie job. NOTHING CHANGES.
Now, the man I finally figured out was doing THE WORST JOB in the whole football department, JOEY BATSON, is remaining in his job. WHY? WHY? WHY?
His retention can be explained by two possible scenarios: Dabo/Admin is STUPID, or the Amdmin is protecting an incompetent doughnut. EITHER scenario demonstrates to me that NOTHING WILL EVER CHANGE.
If Dabo Swinney endorses Joey Batson tommorrow, I am FINISHED with Clemson. The team I have wished us to turn back into is now in Columbia, and the team/admin that used to be in Columbia is now at Clemson.
I will NEVER pull for South Carolina to win at anything. But I am darn sure not going to pull for a Clemson program that emulates what they used to be. The "wait 'til next year" charade should have stayed in Columbia.
IF JOEY BATSON IS RETAINED AS STRENGTH COACH, TOMMORROW WILL BE THE DAY I AM NO LONGER A FAN OF CLEMSON UNIVERSITY. I feel that strongly about it. I know many will say "well don't let the door hit you." Fine. I won't. Yeah, I will simply be leaving a school that left me long ago.
Dabo, please do the right thing.

And Mr. Batson has help with the Board of Trustees.....only at Clemson...... He can not be allowed to stay, he has run his course. We need a younger guy that has a new and fresher mentality. Just ask the coots....they hired a new S&C guy 3 years ago and have destroyed us on the LOS since...

Batson needs to go in order for Clemson to develope into a consistant title contender. Read the articles on Avenue of Champions and you will want the guy gone tomorrow. The evidence of his ineptitude are overwelming. I pray Dabo sees the problem and has the clout to remove a guy with ties to the Board of Trustees. I have sent my emails to Board members, Iptay and President Barker. The Strenght and Conditioning Coach may be the single most important hire on Dabo's staff. Look what SC has done with thier new S&C hire. They are kicking our ### with sculpted studs. Every day Batson is allowed to stay we will fall further behind.

the minute I realized who his uncle is. He'll be here as long as he likes. The old saying "I'd rather be lucky than good" certainly applies here. He's lucky his name is Batson and not Steele or Napier. (I'm not saying they should still be here, but they might be if they were "connected") On the other hand, I think Caldwell deserves more time.
