WHY won't the ACC realign the divisions!!

I just finished reading the article about WVU struggles traveling for B12 conference. What a sacrifice. NFL teams have a hard time with time zone changes, and they don't have to worry about getting to class the next morning. Wow.

With that in mind, why doesn't the ACC use it's geography as an advantage instead of a liability? Everyone knows this would make more sense:

Clemson
Gtech
FSU
UNC
NC State
Duke
WF

BC
Pitt
UVA
Vtech
MIami
Cuse
Louisville

they are flying what matter what.. I believe Miami fans would actually prefer it.

None of the schools want to go into an old ACC vs old Big east situation and all of the schools like the exposure throughout the east coast provided by the current alignment.

Sports. The ACC doesn't use divisions for those so it isn't that big of a deal.

Why would this make more sense? you have BC and Miami in same division - two extremes. IMO its just what YOU would prefer not sensible

The divisions were set to protect traditional rivalries

and to make it as balanced competitively as possible. They only use divisions for football and baseball.

A lot of people on here complains that we don't have any exciting games and then turn around and complain again when we have to play good teams. Just suck it up and beat the team on the schedule.

the exception of UVA, the schools listed in the other division are all from other conferences that recently joined the ACC. That doesn't make for a very good distribution if you ask me.
