Bball problem stats v V Tech - Look @ +/- and minutes played

Here are some clues:
1. +/- vs minutes played. Playing some of the wrong guys too much.
2. Looks like Va Tech only made 8 shots outside the paint. Why can't we adjust the man to man, switch to a 2-3 zone/collapse the central defense/rotate a forward down when the center was drawn out intentionally? This was our HUGE problem during this game.
3. Better defensive effort but still losing their men VERY easily at times allowing for easy passes down into the paint with backdoor cuts.
4. Refs called BS fouls early on that cost us.
