Three locations in and around the Charlotte area. Awesome beer selection and very good food. I recommend the steak & egg Philly. Moo Moo wings are good also.
Sports bar type atmosphere.

Went to Heist Brewpub in NoDa on Sattidy night.

Only restaurant in NoDa participating in Restaurant Week. The menu was super creative and all of it was good. Apps we got were tempura-fried bacon with pesto (as good as it sounds), chicken-waffle sushi (way better than it sounds, and one of the oddest things you'll ever see on a menu), lobster mac and cheese (great), shrimp n grits (decent, but I'm from Charleston, so, you know), and a coupla pretty killer desserts. Didn't even try the brews because the bourbon was going down so easy, which was good for a chuckle the next day--like beer a lot, go to brewpub, and not have a single beer.

Now I know what. NoDa would be a bit of a hike for ye from the other Carolina though, so maybe I was subconsciously saving you several hours of your life. You should probably thank me for being so considerate.
