Auburn has a golden opportunity this year

Nov 11, 2019, 9:33 AM

They get to play UGA and Bama. If they beat BOTH teams (unlikely, but possible from what I've seen), then UGA and Bama would have 2 losses. That scenario would almost guarantee that only ONE team from the SECondplace conference would get into the CFP. Even if UGA beats LSU in the SECCG, having 2 losses might exclude UGA, especially since one of their losses was to an 8-loss team at HOME.

Go Auburn.

In the scenario you describe...

a one loss LSU would get in the CFP even after a loss to Georgia in the conference championship game.

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

Yes - LSU is the ONE team that would get in IMO. But I usually differ from the CFPC in my choices, so they'd still probably try to get 2 in.
