Agreed. Odd they did not choose to exercise that right to begin with. Which is where "meaningful" comes into play. Whatever that means.

Democrats viscerally hate the EC. They also don't like Biden but tolerate him. If its 270-268, I could see one of their own voting for Mickey Mouse just to wreck the EC and foment a movement to abolish it.
