to but expensive to visit, if that makes sense. The word is that hotels, resorts, and food are pretty expensive there (compared to some other destinations in the Caribbean). I've heard in recent years that the Dominican Republic is great value if you do the resort thing.

Awesome place, very nice. We stayed at a place called The Reefs. Expensive, but very nice. Has its own private beach, great restaurants there. Check their website....

Find someone's guest home in Hamilton to stay at that is close to Front Street. I stayed here: http://www.flipkey.com/bermuda-condo-rentals/p291704/

It was walking distance, but cabs made life easier. Very scary roads.

I've been there many times in the Navy. I took my wife there

for our honeymoon. Try and find a B&B for the best prices. Get a moped and have some fun. Swizzle Inn is a must stop.

You may want to consider a cruise to Bermuda if budget is an issue. This allows you to visit the Island for several days, while enjoying the food on ship at breakfast and during the evening...limiting your cash outlay to lunch, drinks and shopping on the island. There are several options to chose from and if you prefer to stay on the island, there are several really nice places/resorts to chose from. Call my son Barrett at Cruise Planners toll free at 1-866-630-7111 or visit his web site at www.cruising-with-seacity.com. His email is bhart@cruiseplanners.com

My wife and I went to Bermuda this year and loved it! We stayed at the Fairmont Southampton and got a great rate through Travelzoo. We were a bit hesitant due to the fact that you can't rent a car on Bermuda and the scooter rental wasn't for us. The bus system is very easy and safe and cabs are plentiful, though.

The water is absolutely amazing in Bermuda. We have been all throughout the Caribbean and never encountered the shocking blue hues of Bermuda. Snorkeling and diving were good from our beach. The hotel we were at was excellent with quick trolley service to the beach and ferries to Hamilton and the other Fairmont property there.

The people of Bermuda were all wonderful and the island has a much more upscale feel that is more familiar than a lot of Caribbean destinations. It felt a lot like the U.S. Virgin Islands in safety and comfort. All in all, a fantastic quick and easy trip and you should definitely go!
