Another interesting tidbit after the home win over Aggies

Sep 8, 2019, 11:29 PM

Of course it was pointed out during and after the game that the win over Texas A&M created the statistical oddity of being both the 17th consecutive win overall as well as the 17th consecutive home win.

But, just noticed the non-conference home victory created another statistical tie as well:
Dabo's winning % is now the same for both overall and conference games at Death Valley
Overall home games: 68-7 = 0.907 win%
Conference home games: 39-4 = 0.907 win%

Not too shabby to have the same number of Conference Division titles as home losses, part of the way through his 12th (sort-of) season. On the other hand, even if he wins 100 more consecutive home games, he would still only rank #3 in Tiger History for home winning % behind Heisman (1.000) and Josh Cody (0.964), each of whom never suffered a home loss in their 4-year tenures here.

4 year tenures seem too short for comparing a career stat like that though.

True...but comparing apples-to-apples, Dabo started off 13-4 in 2008,post-WF through 2010 with 3 of the losses being to ranked teams
GT '08, #14 TCU '09, #16 Miami '10, #17 SCar '10
He's gone a ridiculous 55-3 since then at home.

Safe to say he'll have every other record in the book, though. Already does for most of them.

If Cody had a .964 winning home winning percentage, how does he not have at least one home loss during his tenure?
