Anybody got the feeling that Watson's waiting

to see if we win the NC to decide whether or not to come back?
I feel like he's not going to be happy with no Heisman, no NC, and possibly going to the Browns.
Imagine him back, winning the Heisman, winning the NC, beating the coots again, and allowing our freshman to get in the swing of things. Just sayin' it could happen...

If he stayed, we'd have to force someone to either leave or change positions... maybe KB to safety to fill that empty position in this class.

Of course we would find room for him. Unfortunately that would mean at someone else's expense. Still, this is all ridiculous and everyone knows he is leaving and he definitely should. He's graduated and is going to be a top 10 pick and the #1 QB taken.

Thank you. It's not hard to count. 2 QBs out and 2 QBs in. If we were so blessed to have 1 more year of DW4, we'd have to encourage someone to transfer or switch positions, neither of which can be 100% counted on.

We don't always have 5 scholarship QBs on the roster. Last year we had 4, in 2018 we will have 6.
Watson's scholarship has never gone anywhere.

Transfers....every year, without fail it happens. I wouldn't be so sure we'll remain 'full.'

Dabo has said multiple times, he is holding Watson's scholarship just in case.

Honestly think he can care less about the Heisman trophy. The only trophy he wants, is the NCG trophy. If he doesn't get that, he comes back.

There is no better statement about the Heisman than hoisting the CFB Championship Trophy.

Advantage of playing 4 years in college?

DW will forego his senior season and leave Clemson after only three years of playing here. He leaves Clemson with legendary status. He will likely be the first QB taken and get a great a great paycheck. What then? NFL career?
4 year guys Andrew Luck - could have been the #1 selection after his junior year, elected to stay for his senior year and has been a successful starting quarterback Peyton Manning - same Dak Prescott - 5th year senior Russel Wilson - Played 4 years, 2 systems Phillip Rivers - 4 years Tom Brady - 4 years Ben Roethliesburger - 4 years counting his redshirt year. Cam Newton - 4 years of College (2 at UF, 1 Blinn, 1 Auburn) Derek Carr - 5 years Fresno State
3 year guys examples Aaron Rogers - played only 3 years but took 3 + years to start. Jameis - 3 years counting Redshirt year - starting at TB but not that impressive

believes his own nonsense! I thought that Watson may be waiting too because he did say he loves college and being in Clemson! It would be great to have a 4th year but realistically, I think he's NFL bound. Now let's go win the Natty! Go Tigers!

Mcshay isn't the only one who doesn't think he will be a first rounder. This is from Walter football.com's mock draft. Before the season started, they had DW as the #1 overall pick.
Pick #44 Buffalo Bills: Deshaun Watson, QB, Clemson "The Bills are running Tyrod Taylor out of town for some asinine reason. So, what are they going to do at quarterback? Start E.J. Manuel again so they can save more money? Go with Cardale Jones? Beg Doug Flutie to come back? None of these possible routes seem very promising, so perhaps Buffalo will take Deshaun Watson.
As mentioned in Round 1, teams have really soured on Deshaun Watson. No team we've spoken to has him as a first-round prospect. One high-ranking personnel man in the NFC told me he has Watson as a third-round prospect. It's so much like the Teddy Bridgewater draft, when the media had Bridgewater in the first round, and yet NFL franchises considered him to be a second-day prospect, even before his woeful pro day."
Here's another
http://www.draftsite.com/nfl/mock-draft/2017/
But at the same time, there are just as many sites doing mock drafts that have him going in the first round, between picks 10-20. So who knows where he's gonna go. The interceptions and the way he started the year missing every deep ball and some inconsistent accuracy have dropped him for sure in the draft. He could come back next year and improve all of his problem areas.
