.. I mean really. We are looking for Athletic OL and he will never fit that mold. He is mean and nasty so why not give the man Nose Guard and see if he can anchor the middle of this defense?

If he can get down to 320ish pounds that would be like the equivalent of any other O-lineman playing at 285. He is just a very heavy set guy. If he can slim down he will be fine, he is just still very slow because he is like 50 pounds overweight and its tough to move 360 pounds around.
As far as being mean this guy just wants to maul people on the football field. He has a mean streak and he will be just fine. He is a RS Freshman, 19 years old and very raw. I'm not counting him out yet.

Obviously conditioning is a big factor, but I would be willing to put him on the O-line for short yardage and Goalline situations. He was known for being a maulter in high school....figured he could atleast do that for us in certain situations.

Who cares? He can use that weight to his advantage. He is country strong, the kind of lineman everyone wants. He just needs to work hard, slim down and prove he can be a starter on this team. Maybe he lacks a work ethic but I know if I were him I would be like outside running sprints in August trying to lose some of that weight. I know it probably isn't that easy, you can't just replace fat with nothing, he is obviously trying to get stronger too.
