ACCCG Should Be At The Home Field of the Highest Ranked

This is how the PAC 12 does their title game and with the Geography of the ACC this would assure a good turnout at every game.
Granted, most of the time this game will be played in Clemson, FSU, VT maybe UNC...On the off chance that a Place like Duke or Wake have a game the the Closet Lager ACC venue like NC State or UNC could host the game.
That takes the politics out.

It should be in Charlotte.

It's never had fewer than 64k in Charlotte, with several games over 70k.
By contrast, the Big Ten in Ondy has never been above 67k.
PAC 12 attendance has been as follows (rounding up): 2011 60k 2012 32k 2013 70k 2014 46k 2015 69k
Starting in 3014 they play in a neutral field.

For goodness sake, what if Wake, Duke, BC or Cuse

We're the higher ranked team?
What if Pitt or Miami was? Do you think the NFL teams will just hold that weekend open?

Easy Answer....
Dec 1, 2016, 10:43 AM

If the higher ranked team has a stadium that is too small and a venue close to the higher ranked team in NOT available then the Lower Ranked teams home field would be the choice...
I don't think there is much of a chance in a Duke vs Wake ACCCG

You guys HONESTLY think that schools would go for that?

"It goes to the highest ranked school, unless your Wake, Duke, Syracuse, BC, Miami or Pitt...then...you know...screw you."
You guys are trying hard not to have the game in Charlotte.
Note that even the PAC 12 went away from this model.
There are three schools in the ACC that have a total capacity as high as the WORST Crowd ever in Charlotte that also have full control of their stadiums. Us, FSU and VT.
The solution is for the university presidents to stop playing politics with the conference. This isn't hard.

Ridiculous. Why give one team an advantage? One team may play in a more difficult division. Also, isn't it like a bowl game in that the teams are rewarded with another game and at a different venue?

Yes and if the higher ranked teams' stadium sucks then it can go to the lower ranked team. If both sucks then it can go to the best geographically located ACC stadium that doesn't suck.

Another Alternative For Those That Want Neural Fields

Have the Closet ACC Stadium withing the Proximity of the 2 teams play? In this Case probably UNC or NC State...Take Charlotte out of the equation. If FSU and say UNC Played then have it at Clemson. If Miami and Vt Played have it at GT.. If Syracuse and Miami played heaven help us all!

They may have looked at that for this year but all the teams may not could promise they would be ready or they had other events scheduled. Plus what if one of the smaller stadiums hosted it and there were not nearly enough seats. Unlikely but possible. Charlotte is a great place for the game. Regardless of whether you agree or disagree with the political issue, it was a PR stunt, not a stand on ethics, to move the championship game because they didnt move any of the rest of the games. UNC, Duke, Wake, NCSt all played games in NC all year. There are ACC bowl games in NC at BofA. There is a kickoff game at BofA.
Had this really been an ethical move, you could perhaps respect it even if you disagree but it wasnt. This move was stupid and the attendance will suffer for it. Hopefully the ACC learns from all those empty seats.
