a new interest in protecting the interests of the football schools in the conference. All this "academic fit" bullpoop needs to go away if the ACC is going to have a chance at surviving.

It would appear they have a legitimate commitment to football. Charlie Strong wouldn't be there if he didn't have certain assurances.

Louisville is a great add. I wonder how their revenue compared to WVU's, but I know they make more revenue and have a larger budget than Clemson. Their basketball program makes more money than UNC and they have a legitimate football team in a beautiful stadium in what I hear is a great city.

The difference being that West Virginia made geographic sense, travels great, would have great rivalries and would have shielded the Big 12 from the East Coast.
