A lot of questions about whether or not to stay in the ACC..

May 25, 2012, 2:21 PM

I don't think there is much room for debate. IF 4 super conferences are forming and we want Clemson to be a viable part of that realignment, we better go to one of the four conferences regardless of geographic alignment.

Those 64 teams are going to form a new NCAA division for FB. If not part of the 64, then Clemson will be par of a lower division.

Division A (PAC 16, Big Sixteen (1), B16 (2), and the SEC)

Division A1 (ACC

Division B

So the better question is...what do you want to be a part of?

I had rather play traditional rivals next door than fly halfway across the country to play schools I don't even know.

The ACC has done a lousy job and has been unfair to everyone outside of North Carolina but I had rather reform the ACC than start all over with a conference a thousand miles away.

My ideal plan would be for all the ACC teams outside North Carolina to band together and wrest control from the good ole boys and fire sorry Swofford.

Why can't all the outside of North Carolina member schools take over ?

They have a two-thirds majority !

ACC isn't going to reform...they have shown that...

May 25, 2012, 2:52 PM [ in reply to Re: A lot of questions about whether or not to stay in the ACC.. ]

with..

1. inviting Pitt and Syracuse
2. TV contract
3. not allowing us to split the bowl $ favorably for the football teams

We play 7 home games!

THe mid-west is about the same as going to Syracuse, BC, Pitt, or Miami. And all the crying about getting ND to join, well that is not exactly a short trip.

Some years, we could have 7 home games and the USuC game and maybe FSU in the same years. WVU is possible also.

How many on this cry wagon go to every away game. It would be nice watching our away games to at least see full stadiums filled with excitement instead of pUKE and WF, Maryland , etc... crowds that no TV viewer out of SC wants to watch.

Get real and let's play with the "Big Boys". Heck Kstate, Kansas, and Iowa ST have much bigger crowds than ACC schools.
