A dose of reality for the sunshine pumpers

Oct 1, 2015, 4:41 PM

This ain't just rain and Clemson will not put lives in danger for a football game. If this is what's happening before the storm gets here, this could be a lot more serious than a cancelled game:

There's something in these hills.

Clemson is only prone to flooding in a few areas that can

be easily blocked off. People need to understand the dangers of driving in the rain. If you feel safe enough to do so, then do. If not, then stay home. It's a decision people need to make for themselves. It is not the university's fault for having a football game if people get hurt by driving in conditions they know are not safe.

Lol dose of reality? So you want us all to sit around

fretting and worrying about the game? That's up to the Clemson officials to decide, and also up to the weather itself. The fans on Tigernet can not literally do a single #### thing to change it... so why should we all sit around filled with dread instead of being excited over the game, especially as it hasn't been cancelled at this time?

I live in Charleston and I can tell you that there is a BIG

Oct 1, 2015, 5:09 PM

difference between Charleston and Clemson, primarily the altitude... We are at or below sea level here in Charleston, and anytime it rains we are prone to flooding. Rain and high tide? Forget driving through parts of Charleston.

Just a couple of weeks ago, one of the lagoons in the neighborhood flooded and the streets were about 3' under water.

Just sayin' - its hard to compare the the two areas of the state and the potential for flooding.
