Yes, Nick Saban is comfortable with the SEC's new 6-1-1 schedule format, largely because it preserves inter-division rivalries. But for the first time publicly Wednesday, Saban indicated that he would like to see the league go to a nine-game schedule, even if it means Alabama backing away from nonconference games such as the Sept. 1 opener against Michigan in the Dallas area. "I'm satisfied with what everybody determined, but in all honesty, I was for playing more games," Saban said before teeing off in the Regions Tradition Celebrity Pro-Am at Shoal Creek. "When you increase the size of the league by 15 percent, you've almost got to play more games to get a true indication of who's the best team in the league."

when we finally beat them again. I can already hear it now if they go that route. "Our schedule is too tough, wah, we were beat up from playing an extra game against Ole Miss, wah".

extra game helps SEC SOS...extra game hurts ACC SOS...

...FSU and CU need quality OOC game (in addition to UF & SC)to help w/ SOS and exposure. getting to play Duke more often at noon on Raycom ain't going to do much.
