the computer has to be programmed...and this leaves room for providing added weight to certain programs.
I dont know. so far, the committee has been good to Clemson. they could've been better to us this year, but only by 2 places, at the moment.

True .... unless. ... the eye test doesn’t support the committee’s desires regarding a particular team ... then they use head-to-head, worst/best loss . Etc ... -">

And the chairman literally said that Penn State has a win over their common opponent Iowa whom Minnesota lost to. Yeah, that’s definitely more important than the head to head from a week ago.

Better quality loss using eSECpn logic?...
Nov 19, 2019, 7:43 PM
|

Penn St lost to Minnesota (Top 10 team) while Minnesota lost to Iowa ( Top 20 team)
Georgia loses to uofsuc (unranked Sunbelt caliber team) while Bama lost to LSWho (Currently overranked #1 team) ??
It's really not the eye test. It's definitely the eSECpn test.
eSECpn logic = common core logic. CFP Committee eats and drinks this logic.

Nor should you really. Team A beating team B does not always mean team A is better or has had a better season.

Penn State has a better "football pedigree" in the last few decades than Minnesota. These committee members can say what they want: "they get influenced by talking heads"! No way they should be ahead of the Golden Gophers!

If it were at PsU i would agree but it was a close win at Minn. If they blew them out that is a different story. They certainly have an agreement either way.

That game was at Beaver Stadium too.
Pitt should be ranked. Beat UCF and dang near beat Penn State on their field(but didn't I get it). But, at 7-3 seems they would be ranked. Who would I take out. Let me see.
