Actually LSU just beat #8 Florida. That's why they jumped us. We beat 3-3 BC that is was 0-3 in the ACC. Statistically best defense...but a large part of their statistics came against Maine and Howard.
Not surprised we didn't get a lot of ink on the win. Means a lot to us, but to the media a beat down of a team that's only won against Northern Ill., Maine and Howard....not so much.

You need to go look at their D starts of the Florida State, Duke, and Wake if you think it was just because Maine and Howard. Fl St scored one touchdown on their defense. They are legit.

You got flamed for saying an undefeated ACC team would not get in the playoffs.
Stop worrying about polls halfway through the season. There are still a lot of games to be played. LSU still has to play Bama and A&M.

That's because an undefeated team won't get into the playoffs unless they win convincingly every week.

I tell my dad every week that it seems we take our foot off the gas offensively or we give up a garbage TD and I think it hurts us. Imagine if hlwe had played ND the 2nd half like the 1st. And then last night we could and should have scored again and not given up the TD. A 41-10 win over the #1 defense makes a statement more so than a 34-17 win. A win is still great, but Dabo needs to get the taste of blood in his mouth for other teams. We can give the backups all the snaps in the world against Syracuse and Wake, but not now. Next week we play a good team on the road and we need to win big.

The only year the play-off has occurred, but let's go back.
2014: Only one undefeated team FSU, they were #2 in the AP, but the playoff committee put them in at #3 for the matchups they wanted. Still, they were in the top 4, which is the point.
2013: FSU only undefeated team, #1 in BCS
2012: ND only undefeated team, #1 in BCS
2011: LSU only undefeated team, #1 in BCS
2010: Auburn, Oregon, TCU undefeated teams, #1, #2, #3 in BCS respectively (note: all in top 4...)
2009: Here's where it is interesting: Alabama, Texas, Cincinnati, TCU, & Boise State all undefeated, #1, #2, #3, #4, #6 respectively. Again, TCU & BSU were in mid-majors at the time, Cincinnati was in a the crappy Big East, an undefeated Clemson that year would've been #2 or #3.
2008: Utah and Boise State undefeated, #6 & #9 respectively, both mid-majors, irrelevant, no undefeated BCS caliber team that year.
2007: Hawaii only undefeated team at #18, irrelevant again
2006: Ohio State and Boise State only undefeated teams, #1 and #9 respectively
Do I need to keep going to prove the complete absurdity of your argument? An undefeated Clemson will be in the Top 4, stop perpetuating stupidity.

How convincing is Ohio state? And where do they sit in the polls? And btw, we've done enough to prove we should be there IF we go undefeated. Suggesting otherwise is just being ignorant. Again, there are a lot of games to be played still.

jumped because LSU beat Florida, and I'm mildly surprised we weren't jumped by MSU after they beat Michigan. This is how the polls work fellas.
