2016 Early Playing Time

Feb 3, 2016, 3:35 PM

Out of this group, who do you see get major snaps? Certainly the early enrollees have an advantage just from a playbook and strength standpoint, get reps, chemistry, etc. But who will stick out from this class early on?

I like Feaster, Mullen, Lawrence to be the standouts this coming year. Smith and Lamar to have an immediate impact in the special teams we have lacked.

I expect Smith and Lamar both to get immediately playing time on D

Instant talent and depth at LB.

Feaster on kick returns. Mullen gives us much needed depth at DB as does Simmons. Obviously the linebackers play. Xavier Kelly will get snaps as well. He seems to be a forgotten man today. If I recall he ran a 4.5 40 at 255 lbs.

If he hits the gym and film room, Mullen.
Regardless, both LBs and Dex should immediately be in the DT rotation. He will probably get a similar number of snaps as Christian did last season.
