1977 ND Game - Silent

Getting pumped about the game. Was a freshman in 1977 when NDE game to town. There had been a big deal about crowd noise. The entire pregame show, cheering, everything was done in complete silence. From what I remember, when the ball was kicked, the entire place erupted. It was one of the neatest things I've seen at a game. Would love to see that on film. Also went to the game at ND a couple of years for the come from behind revenge win.

First time C-L-E-M-S-O-N was done around the stadium.
By the end of the first quarter I was already hoarse. Standing in the corner of the West End Zone, I said to a friend next to me, "What I wouldn't give for a liquor drink." The guy on my other side opened his jacket that had mini bottles sewn in and said,"You get the mixers." Saved my voice!!

I also went to ND in '79!! Great place to see a game!
