Just something about those folks who grew up in the great depression - never a complaint out of them, they had a tremendous work ethic, and their sense of humor allowed for many a gut busting laugh and persevering in troubled times.

I look at the world today and all the wallowing in self pity, pride in victim-hood, and general nastiness in how we treat one another (especially over politics) and shake my head in sadness at how we have lost that special something that characterized the depression generation.
