Sadly, this election, and the last, is a a reflection of shrinking numbers of old-fashioned conservative folks, no matter their race, like me, who:
1. believe in working hard to get ahead and if they get there, they earned it and shouldn't have to give huge amounts of it back to a government that is already way too large, but always cheerfully give back to The Lord his 10%.
2. are Pro-life Christians who believe life begins at conception and are deeply saddened that somewhere around 5 million babies have not been given a chance to live since abortion became legal.
3. believe marriage is a sacred covenant between a man and a woman only. This does not mean they hate anyone claiming they are gay or they are trying to wage a war on women, but want them to know how much God loves them and can provide them what they are searching for.
4. peace comes only through strength and there is no substitute for victory over an enemy in a war we did not start.
I could list many more conservative ideals, but the bottom line is the number of Born Again Christian conservative people like me in America is shrinking. I remember when these ideals weren't necessarily tied to whether or not you called yourself a democrat or a republican. This election is a sign of the times and I'm very concerned. This is not the country I grew up in. I pray revival will come to our nation before its too late. God Bless America.
