If the guy who wrote that thinkgs Kentucky is more well groomed and reasonable that most Southern states then Im pretty certain he's never been there.

The gist of it is that the cultural aspects of the state vary by territory. Northern Kentucky is pretty much South Cincinnati and the accents and attitudes reflect that. The I-71 corridor links Louisville to Cincy and I agree with what he says. Louisville is a mosh and is0 the gateway to the Midwest and the South. The rest of the state pretty much resembles the South, just not the Deep South. Kentucky is an upper south state and it reflects that. Although, Lexington has an old money, aristocracy feel to it. Western/Southern KY pretty much mirrors Middle/West TN and Eastern KY is Appalachia.

Watching the Coots lose to UK caused mixed feelings in most of us UofL fans because we hate UK with the same heat you favor the Coots with. But it made you guys happy and it was the most atrocious defense we have ever watched, seeing the proud SEC look like a Little League football game.

We already feel a bit of conference pride over that strange game. No worries, we'll take care of UK for the ACC. Petrino hates them with a passion. He calls them slapdicks.
