Brotherblood99 is on his 2nd stint in rehab. Haven't heard from him in about 2 weeks. Heroin addiction is worse than anything I've ever heard of.

Kinda sucks. A real dark side of me just wants him to OD for the last time and release my family from this so that we can all move on. That's how bad addiction looks from the outside.

But then there's a god-fearing side of me that KNOWS he's going to conquer this and make us all proud. I know what kinda man that dude is and can't really realistically imagine him succumbing to such nonsense.

He's already lost his firefighting and military career. I can't bear to see that boy lose anything else. It just aint fair. Addiction is a ###### up piece of ####. If you think it can't happen to your loved ones or even the best people you know, then you don't know ####. It makes me angry. I've thought about killing his dealer with my bare hands on the real but that would just hurt me in the long run. So what do you do?

You pray and hope that there is a God who cares about good things.

Continued thoughts and prayers are appreciated. I just want my brother back.

nothing but prayers for him and your family. I've known a lot of drunks, a lot of dopers, seen people using needles that weren't the people I thought I knew anymore. I don't understand it at all. But I hope it works out for him. I've seen that happen too. Grace.

Yeah I am sure he feels hopeless, not only because of his addiction, but he probably wonders what he would do with his life if he were sober.
