Why did we have to let OU score?

Dec 30, 2014, 9:45 PM

40-0 looks so much better than 40-6.

BV didn't want to embarrass Stoops like that.

Dec 30, 2014, 9:47 PM

He's never been shut out at OU, and he helped BV in his career.

We took our seniors out. What is point of rubbing it in?

Dec 30, 2014, 9:54 PM

just another classy thing that Clemson does.

I see what you're trying to say and how a shutout would've been spectacular. Anyway, what we did was put in about 10 freshman on defense to go ahead and make mistakes last night so that they would have game film to learn and improve upon rather than throw them in next year to make the mistakes then. I was glad they did it last night rather than wait until next year to give guys like Pagano, O'Daniel, Ogundeko, Baker, Edmunds and the list goes on, some playing time as a reward for practicing every single time out with the rest of seniors when they knew they were way at the back of the line in regards to playing time. Now at least they can see that they didn't put in enough preparation and work because there was a drop off and they didn't finish out the shutout. Just my .02

I'm assuming you're being facetious...atleast I hope.

They had 118 total yards and a score of 40-0 going into the 4th quarter. That sounds like we were playing SC State or something.

40-6 looks pretty #### good to me.

Some would complain if it was 73-0. After all, why did they kick that field goal? They coulda had another touchdown!

That is why you reload instead of rebuild. If kids don't get to play when the game is won, why have em on the team? Playing inspires offseason work. Playing allows film corrections, for when it matters in future years it is also a class act by our coaches. We didn't let em score, they were trying to score just like we were trying to stop em. Great game by our Tigers!

They were trying to make the score a little respectable LOL so that people would think that OU actually wanted to be there. Hey idiots we were the ones that got hosed out of the bigger bowl by a simple political shift in the rankings.

that was your starting defense for next season...... They allowed a score within minutes of taking the field. you'll know how good VB really is this time next year.

It's almost as if garbage time TDs against players that didn't even take reps against the scout team all week don't matter. Oh wait.

This is about par for the course for contributions from you, but is incredibly dumb and short-sighted no less.

badge-donor-20yr.jpgbadge-ringofhonor-revdodd.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Ok averaged almost 40 pts per game

Dec 31, 2014, 9:51 AM

before they ran into the brick wall called the clemson defense. even sc state scored 7.
besides, it was worth 6 to recognize the 1st team like dabo did (class act)...and everybody got a chance to play. If your son had worked hard all year and got to play against ok, you would have been proud.
The #s that really matter: 10 wins & 35-17.
