One of the worst calls I've ever seen. Why even have replay?

The officials arent why the panthers are losing. They aren't making plays and they'r getting whipped on the line.

Take off the homer glasses...

...the ball hit the ground - whether that jarred it loose may be debated - but he didn't maintain control to the ground.

Okay, you leave your glasses on....

.....then watch the replay again. When he hits the ground - the ball hits the ground - and THEN he loses control... incomplete.

Even the ref reviewing the play thought that it touched the ground.

Yep. And when they showed the replay from the side where the ball was against his leg, there was at least 6 inches of clearance between the ball and the ground. I don't know what some of these people are looking at. It may have been incomplete (ruled by the officials) based on lack of control, but it NEVER touched the ground. At all. I'm looking at the other angle they showed right now.

the point isn't that you can tell that the ball moves

The point is that you can't tell that it didn't move.
Two different things and hence the call "stands"

I agree, you're exactly right, but the main arguing point everyone is trying to make is that the ball touched the ground...and it clearly didn't.

yea I don't think it did

But objectively I can't tell that it didn't; it was a little tough to see what happened with the nose of the football that first time it might have touched the ground.
The requirement is that there be "indisputable video evidence" to overturn it. The very fact that people on here are arguing it sounds like there is a valid dispute and thus the play on the field should stand. Deference should be given to the refs on the field.

Uncle Bill, take your "I hate the Panthers glasses" off

No way that hit the ground - no matter what angle you look at. BTW, the ball can move as long as it never hits the ground.

Then he juggled it, if it hit the ground on the first catch.
