Butthurt is strong in college football these days. Surprise surprise, Dabo ain't goin to Bama, and what I'm wondering is.....are the rest of the teams in our weaka$$ conference going to take this laying down? According to a majority of fans OUTSIDE of the ACC, they are all cupcakes.

That dialogue is so important to the other conferences . They want to believe we're just falling into the playoffs without having to do much footballing beforehand . But when you look at the conferences draft records over the time Dabo has been at the helm the ACC is right behind the SEC . Shows the quality and relative quantity of good football players in the ACC When you look at most years he has been here the bowl results for the ACC as a whole haven't been so bad and in some years they've been really good against the other power 5 . Shows that our slate isn't as easy as the others want to believe that it is . Ultimately , none of it means a thing . We win . We are the top dog in all of CFB right now . Spot the ball ... time to prove we're capable of doing it all over again !

Agree with all you say. ACC went 6-5 in the bowl season last year, granted, 2 wins were ours, but the college football pundits see Clemson rolling everyone on our schedule, TO INCLUDE Bama and ND in the playoffs, and poof, the ACC must all be cupcakes cause Clemson crushed them all, with the exceptions of Syracuse and TA&M. Granted, if we had played those two teams AFTER Trevor Lawrence got settled in, they would have been blown out too.
2020 Football recruiting rankings currently has 5 ACC teams in the top 13. Whether they stay there or not through signing day is anyone's guess, but I have to laugh at the everyone that thinks the big 10 is all that simply because they have parity. They still aren't that good, and OSU is still the best there, which ain't sayin much.

From "Pick Six Previews":
Current 4/5?? commits (2020 Class)
56 - SEC 40 - ACC 25 - Big Ten 17 - Pac-12 12 - Big 12
https://twitter.com/PickSixPreviews/status/1128047598273794048
So the gap between the SEC and ACC is 16, and between the ACC and Big Ten it's 15. Clemson has 14 of the ACC's 40 blue chips, leaving 26 for the rest of the league.
One guy wrote that if you just look at the Top 3 in each conference: SEC: 33 Bama, LSU, GA ACC: 32 Clemson, Miami, FSU
(NOTE: VT has only 3 commits and no blue-chips yet for 2020, but the Hokies did sign 7 blue-chips this year - some of them last minute - so I'm not too worried, it's still very early).

Wow Clemson has more star player commits than one and almost 2 conferences. Pretty crazy.

We have more than the entire B1G right now. Saw a Bucknutt article (in Google feed) yesterday that stated that.

Cupcake ACC? Still waiting for SC to score on UVA in the Belk Bowl. Guess SC was tired from their long bus ride from Columbia to Charlotte.

Reality is sometimes very painful.

Clemson beat the pants off Alabama 4 months ago. Clemson has won 2 of the most recent 3 National Titles, topping Bama twice. This is a hard reality for SECers to accept, so they are in denial.
In the last 4 years ACC teams have played SEC teams 46 times. The conference records in those games is 23-23. It's hard to look at the SEC/ACC dead heat after 46 games and continue to insist that the SEC is just a much much tougher league, but that's what SECers do.
SECers love to insist the ACC is a one horse league and ignore the reality that SEC is also a one horse league. This is a classic case of the pot calling the kettle black. Here's how Clemson and Bama have done in their own leagues over the past 5 years:
Clemson 40-4 Alabama 44-3
Again it takes determination to ignore reality but the recent history is really straight forward.
Bama owns the SEC and does NOT have a tough conference conference schedule. Bama plays in the SEC West, supposedly the toughest division in all of football. But...... Bama owns a 7 game win streak vs LSU. Bama owns a 6 game win streak against TAMU. Bama owns an 11 game streak over Miss State. Bama owns a 12 game streak over Arkansas Bama owns a 6-2 mark over Auburn in the last 8 Iron Bowls and the last Auburn win was the crazy kick 6.
And against the best teams in the SEC East, Bama also cruises.
Bama owns a 5 game streak over Georgia. Bama owns a 6 game streak over Florida. Bama owns an 11 game streak over Tennessee.
LAST YEAR THE AVERAGE SCORE IN A BAMA VS SEC GAME WAS 43-15.
The SEC is a one horse league. Bama dominates the SEC in the same way Clemson dominates the ACC, Oklahoma dominates the Big 12 and Ohio State dominates the Big Ten.
In out of conference games against the other Power 5 leagues, the Big 10 has a better record than the SEC over the last 5 years.
The SECers have an idea that the SEC is a lot tougher league BECAUSE at the end of BCS era, the SEC won 7 consecutive National Titles.
In the last 6 years the ACC has won the National Championship 3 times, the SEC has won it 2 times and the Big 10 has won once.
Since the CFP has been deciding the National Champ on the field of Play, the SEC has 2 titles, the ACC has 2 titles and the Big 10 has 1 title.
Reality is giving the SECers a cold hard slap in the face and the SECers are in a huge state of denial.
(BTW, I love these facts.)

Harley that's great stuff ! The SEC-Type A fan will always always , and rather obliquely throw Clemson's success under the bus as being a direct result of soft conditions in our league or to a more ridiculous point that they fail most times OOC due to tough treading among their own . It's not going to change as we have seen that the E$ecPN pundits and their lapdogs the CBS experts will always tout them as the greatest thing left on earth to behold . If the media says it's so then it is obviously so , ya know ? We know it's a false narration , but their fans ( even the sensible ones ... however few ) won't give due credit to anyone outside of the circle for besting them . Sad bunch of poor sports if you ask me .

I wonder if that SEC clown realizes that Bama's closest SEC competition lost to a FOUR-LOSS Texas team in their bowl game? It's a good thing the SEC does not have to play the Big 12 teams, or they would not even make the CFP. They should be thankful to play in the weak SECondplace.

I like how the narrative changed from “Bama’s tough schedule prepares them for the playoffs “ before the NCG to “Clemson’s easy schedule keeps them healthy for the playoffs “ after the Tigers stomped Bama...... -

Games.. they do cheat.. newsprings does play players. Dabo is a cheerleader.
All of it... clemson has horrible footbal team thei just get lucky.
I hope every other coach and player in the nation buys into the homer talk.
When they underestimate clemson it seems to work out well for the boys with the paw.

SEC folk like to pretend that UT, Florida, Arkansas, etc. are still big bad teams, when they've been mediocre or terrible for years..
Chicken little likes to talk about how hard their schedule is this year, and Clemson would be favored in every game on it.. Most by double digits.. It's just hard for them to come to terms with.

Yeah they know what it is , know what it looks like and know the pain of seeing it . And yet , they'll always take the low road and deny it , belittle it or try to say it's ill-gotten gain .
Those crazy coots .

In the SEC,
The players are faster....how much faster? Don't know, but it's defined as SEC speed. Just accept that they are faster...except Hunter Ren outRen the entire SEC SC Defense....and Justin Ross torched them
The players are stronger....how much stronger? Don't know, but they are SEC type players...some would say that if the AVengers needed to draft Hulks and Thors, they would look at the SEC.
The players are bigger....how much bugger? don't know....but everyone else is puny by comparison
In the SEC, when you get hit by an SEC type player, it's equivalent to the sun exploding. In the ACC, we play two hand touch.
Personally, I love it! I use to be bothered by the SEC homerism, but today, where Clemson stands as a program, it's easier to just laugh at that bunch and stockpile trophies Let them continue their witch hunt, and their accusations and insinuations while they line up to get their @$$es kicked by the Tigers!
We should embrace this role and keep that narrative of theirs going for as long as possible! It makes them even more angry that they "shouldn't be losing" to Clemson. But the moment they accept that we are better, well.....it's not as fun to hear them make up all these SEC type excuses!
