What would our world here in SC be like if another network--
Jan 3, 2013, 12:43 PM

let's say Fox started hyping ACC football and put prime-time ACC football games on to compete with SEC? (not noon games but 7:00 games)
That would be a fresh breath or air and would calm the Coots down on ALL the media they get from eSECpn.

If Fox was competing on a national level with eSECpn

then they would need to find top-flight announcers and need to produce a product 50X better than Raycom.
Quality would be the hallmark we are all looking for to compete against eSECpn.

Big 10 has a true network. SEC has espn. diddlehead swoff leaves nonESPN stuff to his son at Raycom. Anyone see the difference here? And why isnt the nepotism aspect being looked into

NBC would be most likely to jump in.

As I stated in another thread, don't be surprised if these ND/ACC games turn into Neutral site games to Screw ESecPN out of it.
Clemson/ND in Charlotte VT/ND in Washington GT/ND in the Dome Cuse/ND at Giants Stadium
ESecPN only has home games. With 5 ND neutral site games a year , the ACC Network that they're in talks with could have a huge draw.

If Duke or Wake want to give up a home game fine. ND is coming to DV or there will be H to pay. If they want to neutral their home game fine

ACC games on the same day. Fox Sports network does. I say this as someone who has been to the facilities of ESPN, FSN, and NBC.
CBS Sports might also be able to, but they'd have to divert resources from the NFL, which I doubt would happen.

Not sure how that Duke/Wake Forest week 7 clash is going to compete with Georgia Florida? It's a nice thought but when the product is that much better it won't work and Fox is a bunch of dummies. There is a reason ESPN hypes the sec it's because it's the best product week in and week out. No other league can compete with the match ups that the sec pumps out.

Also Louisville plus Pitt, Syracuse seem to be improving

...If the ACC went with another network my viewing of ESecPN would decrease substantially. To me SEC football is actually pretty boring and the only reason that it is considered head and shoulders above all other conferences is because ESecPN put them on that pedestal. Hopefully everyone else outside of the SEC footprint is getting as sick of it as we are.

Maybe another reason they are considered superior is the whole National Championship thing too

do we have to listen to the moronic talking heads on the channel yell about Tim Tebow? College Gameday has become a total joke. Don't even get me started on LeBron James's "Decision" crap.
The sports world in general would greatly benefit from some competition to the Four-Letter Network.

Reference the PAC-12 games, etc. It will be interesting to see how it plays out over the next 10 years.
If I live that long.
