If the resources were spent Clemson could end up a great job with much more exposure. Sounds like as of today VCU may be better. Tough to know.

people don't coach at VCU to stay there. They coach there to win all these conference titles and take a crack at the tourney every year which leads to always being on that hot coaching candidates list every year. its a springboard job with a track record of success.

Clemson you either pass or fail. And if they pass they know its for a limited time and so they jump usually for more money.

In terms of money Clemson may have more but in terms of basketball culture VCU is pretty top notch and has been for some years.

I agree it is VCU. They have a very nice new arena as well as a gigantic practice facility that just opened last year. It is also the largest school in the state of VA, lots of people forget about that. Very deep pockets from the alumni and all they focus on is basketball.

richmond is in much better location for recruiting bball players.

my view is if G Tech is struggling or mediocre in basketball now, then Clemson can't expect much either. Clemson has been better than G Tech and Wake in the Brownell era, two programs with more tradition
