Absolutely disgusting. The thought of a mob at the Capital should disturb everyone who cherishes this country. I voted republican but this needs to stop. That Trump has encouraged this speaks volumes about him and will forever tarnish any positive legacy he might have had.

as long as the protests a law abiding and peaceful.
In fact the right of the people to peacefully assemble and to petition the Government for a grievance is protected by the Constitution.
Peaceful protests are acceptable. Violence, property damage, and rioting are not and should be strongly discouraged and condemned.

I agree with everyone that is beyond the pale and needs to be stopped now.
However, I seem to remember a lot of people po - pooing it when the protesters in Michigan stormed their state house.
I am not sure why we are surprised at this escalation.
