Wow, we are getting crushed by Oregon fans...

on the Orange Bowl site. Ducks are out in full force. Tiger Nation is divided and it hurts. I know all about the ACC ties to the OB but they have concerns about us traveling as they should. It is looking more and more like Chicken Bowl vs. A&M.

OB will sell about the same amount of tickets because either school will be required to buy 20k. Oregon will make the trip, especially if it is against Bama. Also, Oregon vs. Bama will have the most national appeal for the OB. the tv ratings for this game will establish their network negotiations in future deals, so they can't take this lightly. for the OB, TV ratings will always outweigh ticket sales. i think they want Oregon, but may feel compelled to get Clemson because of the ACC relationship.

also, 100k faxes and emails from Clemson fans is < 1 phone call from Phil Knight asking how much is the TV commerical time for the OB.
