Depending on the demeanor of the official, that young man may be looking at criminal charges.

Also from his appearance, I would guess he is at or nearing the age of being charged as an adult if charges are pressed against him.

I have been around sports for a long long time and I can't imagine what that player was thinking. It wasn't a quick reaction type thing where someone may shove somebody who gets in their face. He had to run all the way across the field and make the decision to hit the official.

Truly an embarrassing decision and most likely one he will regret for a long time if he has any sort of conscience.
