OK, it's taken a while to reach out and get a feel for his tweet yesterday, and from every thing I can gather he's fine, tweet wasn't what people thought and he quickly deleted. He's been at workouts and been great and someone who spoke with him this morning said he told them he's good. So.... There ya go

no ledge, just mild concern

same as last year when we got a wiff that Feaster was leaving early for the NFL. Most said don't worry it's nothing and it ended up being something. Interest is valid with any of our players. We are interested in them for a lifetime in many circumstances.

That's a lot different though IMO. When you're hearing rumors about a backup player thinking of transferring going into their senior season you'd assume that it's coming from people he's spoken with about doing so.
When it comes to a kid sending out a tweet saying he's thinking about making a move, then that tweet can literally mean anything. Even if he were talking about football then it still could mean several other things including, making a move to get better, making a move up the depth chart, getting stronger, etc...
People are forgetting that unlike Feaster, he'd have to sit out a year in order to even make a transfer so I'd be surprised to see it in his plans anyway unless someone else beats him out next year after ETN is gone.

And 5 years down the line

When you're famous and reveling in one of your biggest accomplishments, a do-shkanoe will drag up one of your 'stupid at 18 tweets' and drag you through the media mud. Pretty sad...

Hey now, to be honest, do you want guys who step away so quickly when competition arrives?
I'm not doggin' him because he is not stepping away. It's a general thought. Plus, the RBx2 offense is here to stay in CFB and NFL.

David, I have to admit that

I wondered if this young man would have been very dejected after not getting a single carry in the national championship game. I have to believe that it was a complete oversight by or staff that does very little wrong. I really felt for him when that happened. I hope he stays because I think he is electric.
I'm currently visiting my parents in Pawleys Island, and no, there is no possessive apostrophe in Pawleys. Anyway, early this morning, a long time Clemson fan calls my dad who is also a long time Clemson fan. He said that he was hearing rumors while he was out at the store that something might be up with Myles Murphy. Have you heard anything. I hope not. I came immediately to Tigernet to see if there was anything on the subject, but there was not so I hope that is a good sign.
We are busy here at the beach preparing to go to Waccamaw High School's graduation so I might not be back on Tigernet for a while. My nephew's graduation is at 4 so I will probably be going straight to walk the beach at Pawleys afterward and may not be on Tigernet for a while. It is nice to be here rather than Atlanta at this time of year, if you know what I mean. I would, however, appreciate any info you have. I am hoping that the rumor really has no basis, but this is a very big time Clemson fan that called my dad.

He most likely had the wrong Myles Murphy. There's one from NC who mostly like will go to UofSC.

have the wrong one. These guys are sharp, but they are getting older. Put it this way, I'm 56 and this is my dad and his friend. Thanks for the info. That's a relief.

I doubt it was an oversight. He probably didn't play early in the game just as he often didn't due to where he was on the depth chart, and pass blocking. Then our final drive went over 10 minutes and started with ETN still in there, and the last several carries of the game went to Choice who was a senior so I'd imagine the coaches were giving him the last carries as a reward on his way out.

I am beginning to think that he doesn't realize that the Twitterverse revolves around Tigernet and we geniuses who post here. He should know that a vague, offhand comment such as that, whether it is about changing brands of mayonnaise, hot sauce, chicken nuggets, etc. CLEARLY implies a school transfer. Man, kids these days...

Nice to have that cleared up. I would have been quite surprised if it had turned out to be anything serious, though. He is the clear #2 RB in a dynamic offense as a sophomore. Gonna see plenty of playing time this season.
