In my opinion , it had to be that Swashbuckling Frenchman , Jean van der Velde . He lost a 3 stroke lead on the final hole of the 1999 British Open .

Sorry , it was a 1993 playoff game . The Houston Oilers lost a 32 point lead to the Buffalo Bills... who were playing their back up QB .
It was gruesome . I was 24 years old and will never forget it . Talk about shutting it down at halftime .

As a Falcons fan I can tell you, it was the Super Bowl loss to the Pats. There is no bigger stage in sports than the Super Bowl and the Falcons absolutely choked.

For me, the worst choke, or the lose i hated tgge most happened 500 yds away in Death Valley. GT scored 2 TDs in the last 3 min to beat us. It was a hard pill to swallow.
