The honest mail-in voting ad
Aug 26, 2020, 2:27 PM

Made by the Postal Service!
Actually, it wasn't really made by them. And it has naughty language. And it will make board Trumpists fume since it shreds holes in all the pretzel twist logic about why we shouldn't have mail-in voting.
But the chick in the video is hot, so at least they can enjoy that.

And if you could vote by mail as a russian Donnie would be pushing mail in voting harder than he pushed himself up on women

works for the post office. He is involved with the physical removal of the sorting machines. He said removing them has been talked about for some time, well before Dejoy took over, and well before anybody was thinking about mail-in voting. He said it was long overdue. Why? Because they wern't being used due to the declining use of snail mail. Same with big blue mailboxes, which we know have been being removed by the thousands going back for 20 years. Now, maybe they removed too many, or created some kind of unintended logistical problem, I don't know, but the P.O. employee I know laughs at the idea that is in any way political.

We had a post here last week that linked a 2016 Postal Service statement regarding 10K boxes being recalled due to lack of use and the economic factors of maintaining them and picking up mail when nearly no one uses those boxes.
This is another democrat hoax.

I think everyone should vote...

but I don't think everyone should be forced to vote. On a personal level, whether right or wrong, I don't want the uninformed or people who simply don't care to vote. Not sure how that is helpful for the election or the country. That is why I'm against UNSOLICITED mail balloting.
Further, if we are going to convert everything over to mail, we sure need to remove a lot of the rules at polling stations. The machines do not need to be spread apart like they are. We should be able to bring as many people and whoever we want to bring with us to the voting machines. We should even be able to take our ballot, leave and come back and turn it in.
Historically, absentee voting has progressed. Originally it was for military people. Then we added people who could prove they had a legitimate reason they could not come to the poll. Then anybody could do it. Now it seems okay to send ballots to everybody on a voter list.
We can be "progressive" in our thinking about how we vote, but by God, we must remain conservative when it comes to the way the post office is run. It's constitutional!!! See: "To establish Post Offices and post Roads"

Exactly. Dems want unsolicited mail in voting because

they know it increases the likelyhood, not just of getting more people to vote, but getting traditional non-voters to vote. Traditional non-voters are mostly young, poor, and minority, and those groups usually vote democrat. That's one reason Pubs don't want universal, unsolicited, mail-in voting.
Personally, I think everybody who can, should go to a polling place to vote. No reason polling places can't be opened days earlier than normal to avoid crowds, accomodate social distancing, and make it easier all the way around for people to get to the polls to vote. Then, I'd have no problem if people who are still too scared, are old or sick, or are out of town, utilize absentee mail-in voting.

If you don’t want the uninformed to vote, that eliminates most of this board.

You’re one of the few that would still be able to.

I often worry about people that don’t have to work for a living making it down to a polling location. So much to do, so little time.
