How is your team looking this year and who do you pull for?
I am Dodgers of course and they obviously look to be solid. Who do you have?

I didn't even realize there is a team here. I haven't seen the stadium. I need to check them out.

I keep being told the rotation is good and bullpen may be great. Losing Eloy will not be easy to recover from. I can't believe he tried to rob that homer and broke himself so badly.

The White Sox are supposed to be surprisingly good this year. You guys supposedly have a bunch of young talent.

I am from California. I like this Dodgers team. It's not all bought. There are a bunch of Dodgers that are home grown from the minors on up. Seager is going to have a huge year. MVP

Put a great team together how ever you can.
Dodgers have a great one - totally expect them to get back to the WS.
But, I still have hope for my Mets.

They live up above White Plains in West Chester County.
Mets have potential to be very good this year.

Saw Fernando pitch in ATL like two stadiums ago ....

Made the Braves batters look silly.
Believe it or not, 1st MLB game was a Dodger game where Koufax pitched in ATL where he lost 2-1. It was the first or second season after Braves moved from Milwaukee.

line up and rotation back in the day (Palmer, McNally, Cuellar), Brooks on 1 corner and Boog on the other, Frank Robinson in the outfield.....
Good times.
Trout and Acuna prolly the only 2 current players I could name today.

One man's story with baseball
Apr 1, 2021, 11:12 AM
|

Grew up loving baseball, played some, enjoyed watching it, LOVED reading about it. LOVED reading George Will's takes. Got into it heavily, every Barves game on TV every night. Was in a fantasy baseball league for years with Keith Law and Will Carroll. Heavy into sabermetrics, was a huge Rob Neyer fan.
And then, I just outgrew it. Haven't watched a game in years. No desire at all to see it.
Soccer has spoiled me to an extent with the constant action.

saw an interview with Tom Glavine about a possible strike. They asked (best I remember) - "But what about the fans... the families that save up for a trip to the stadium... the kids that wait for hours just for a chance at an autograph? What about them, if you go on strike and cancel the season?"
He looked straight into the camera, and with a cold stare that only a spoiled brat that has made over $100 million in baseball can muster... "This ain't about the fans".
All righty, then. LOL. Well guess what, I'm done with you too, dipchit. You don't even have a college degree, Tom... without fans you'd be managing the late shift at Wendys.
