The Package Deal

Still scratching my head about why there is so much consternation over this situation. As I see it:
Number One player in the country in RN
Wayne Gallman, according to 247sports a 4 star RB with offers from Wisconsin, Auburn, Georgia and Georgia Tech. We'd take him regardless.
Kamara, according to 247sports a 2 star CB, 3 star according to ESPNU, but had offers from Ole Miss and Miss St in addition to many mid-majors. Average prospect with upside. Similar to Coty Sensabaugh when we took him
The QB is a WALK ON. Why is this even a matter of objection.
That leaves Ryan Carter. 247sports has him as a 2 star CB with offers from Ole Miss and East Carolina along with other mid majors.
So, we have in addition to RN, the number 1 player in the country, a 4 star RB with multiple big time offers. A 2-3 star CB that is a legit prospect, and a 2 star CB that is marginal. WALK ON"S DON"T COUNT.
I'll take that package any day.

I understand the interest but think it's just a waste of time reporting it.....
I for one have no problem with what RN said. His original comments were taken out of context.
And another thing - Boise State, VT, and TCU always have solid recruiting classes made up of "3 star" players. They develop and coach their players, who in turn have committed to giving it their all on the field.
These "reporters" get paid to talk about stuff, and when there's nothing else to talk about they make up garbage. It will be old news next week until the next high profile coach or player does something "news" worthy.

The number 1 DT has stated that he would love to compete with the number 1 DE so it seems that we are getting more than just 2 and 3 star players from his high school

every school that has a fb team does this. If people don't believe it, they have been under a rock for, let's say, 50 or so years.
The AJC reporter did this on purpose because he is pissed that RN did not choose his dawgs and was trying to find a way to shame him about leaving the state. Bet you would never see him do an interview like that if RN had committed to Ga.

A matter of fact...

Ricardo Hurley and his brother come to mind. His brother, Ricky Grant, both signed with usc. Ricky had to go to Prep School, but it was well know in Greenwood, their home town, that Ricardo would not sign unless they took his brother, too. After Ricky went to the coots, he lasted 1 year and was let go because of "injury". I happened to be working for a doctor in Greenwood that re-examined him after the coots doctors...and he was fine to play. you don't know how close usc came to being sued over this. FACT
