He transferred from Texas Tech to OU and per conference ruleswas docked one year eligibility. He was a walkon at Texas Tech, really more like a gray shirt because he was going to get a scholarship in the spring. Now Cryfield and his father are actively campaigning against Texas Tech demanding they sign a release so he will get an extra year of elgibility back. If he had transferred to any out of conference school he would not have been penalized so he basically made the choice to give up the year.
