It’s comforting to know we tied aOSU in wins by beating them to end the decade.

The decade is not over until 12/31/2020... It started on 1/1/2011.

Actually “Decades” end and start every day.
Subtract 10 years from today and there ya go; thats a decade. And today marks the start of a decade that ends ten years from today.
Decade is ANY ten year period. But I get what your saying.

Nope, that line of thinking is misleading. Zero years are the beginning of the decade.
Ten is the top of the normal counting numbers 1-10, but when counting years, when a 10’s digit changes, that is the decade. When the hundreds digit changes, that is the century. And so on.

That proves my point.
“ The decade of the 1920s runs from January 1, 1920 to December 31, 1929.”

When the calendar switched from "BC" to "AD" what was the date. Answer: January 1, 0001. There was no year "0". So, the first decade of the first century AD ran from Jan 1, 0001 to December 31, 0010 (1 thru 10). Otherwise, by your counting, the first decade of the first century AD would only have 9 years (Jan 1, 0001 thru Dec 31, 0009. The trouble with your logic is that the Romans did not recognize "zero" as a "counting number." Not that it much matters...

Silly, no account debate about decades.

I'll stick with the common understanding.
I remember the 60s,70s,80s,90s and so forth. For most of us the 20s started a few weeks ago. Just before the 20s started the 10s ended.
And FWIW, Ohio State was 12-1 in 2010 but the 12 wins were vacated by the NCAA because the Buckeyes had used ineligible players.
The Ohio State record book shows that for the 2010-2019 seasons, the Buckeyes won only 105 games.
Clemson won 117 games over the same period of time.
So the our Tigers trail only Alabama for the period under discussion.

While we’re pointing out things about App St, I’d like to mention that one of their marks in the W column was against the coots.

There is a lot of arguing what year begins a new decade, and this is a BIG detail for our Tigers.
One would have to think that 2010 will give us considerably more losses than 2020 by direct comparison.
7 of our 23 losses in the decade came in what is being called the first year of the decade.
Shifting to a 2011-2020 decade would likely give us a chance to be a clear #2 on this list.
