CLEMSON, S.C. — The No. 8 seed Clemson Tigers will take on fourth-seeded Wake Forest on Wednesday night in the ACC semifinal. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m., with the match set to be broadcast on ACC Network.

The Tigers enter the match 12-5-1 (3-4-1 ACC) following four consecutive victories over UMass, NC State, Notre Dame and Duke. The Tigers defeated the previously undefeated Blue Devils on Sunday by a final score of 2-0. They advanced to their 10th ACC semifinal in Head Coach Mike Noonan's 13 season tenure.

Sunday marks the 54th meeting meeting between the conference foes, and second of the season with Wake Forest leading the series 20-25-8. The Demon Deacons lead in all-time goals 84-71. The two teams met earlier this season at Historic Riggs Field, where the then No. 1 Demon Deacons took down Clemson 6-1.

Tigers’ standout Ousmane Sylla has led the way for Clemson, scoring five goals and notching six assists. He has tallied a point in eight of his 15 games played this season and is sixth in the ACC in points per game (1.07).

He is joined at the top of Clemson's scoring leaderboard by senior forward Mohamed Seye, who has assisted three of Sylla's goals. He's added four of his own and has also earned four points in two matches, bringing his point total on the season to 14. He and Sylla are both tied for fourth most assists in the conference with six.

Wake Forest enters the match 14-4-0, and earned its spot in the semifinal with a 1-0 victory over Virginia Tech.

The winner of Wednesday’s match will take on the winner of Virginia at Syracuse in the ACC Championship Match on Sunday, November 11 at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, N.C. Kickoff for the ACC Championship is at noon, and the match will be televised on ESPNU.

Going to be a tough game. Not sure what has changed in our last 4 but they are peaking. Last game against Wake was a shocker so hopefully we can avenge that loss. Was very surprised we did end up beating Duke. It was 0-0 when I went to bed.
