Thanks @Skeeta56. I keep up with what Caleb because they're a wonderful family. Both are good people... That said, don't want to see him beat our Tiger pros if it knocked one of them out.

I thought Trahan would be able to get in this field, but he’s not even on the alternate list.

He, like Kyle hasn't played in any events recently. Sure would be nice if we had an update.

Would love to see Ben Martin have a strong week.
The field is not super strong outside Scottie Schefler, Rory and Cam Smith.
Go get’em Tigers

The LIV Event outside of London . . .
Jun 7, 2022, 12:39 AM
|
|
begins this week . . . Why the name LIV for the Saudi League??? Simply a guess . . . that is the number 54 in Roman Numerals and they have a 54 Hole Format . . .
“Lefty” has joined its ranks . . . Guess he’ll be able to work on paying his bookie off with the estimated $200M the Saudi’s have offered . . . so much for the sanctity of life stance he recently had . . .
I stated a few days ago that if Turk wasn’t in the Field, I wouldn’t care one iota about this endeavor . . . but since he is . . . I’ll keep an eye on his progress . . . Everyone must make their own decisions . . . I’m not qualified to judge anyone.
Short article on Format (Individuals and Teams) along with this week’s Field: https://dknation.draftkings.com/2022/6/6/23156782/liv-golf-london-tournament-2022-field-who-is-playing-dustin-johnson-phil-mickelson-kevin-na
Oh, we’ve all heard that Kevin Na has resigned from the PGA . . . I heard yesterday that this was done to preserve his PGA Retirement Investments . . . Of course they will no longer contribute to it, but they will continue to manage his account in good standing. The PGA is known for the most lucrative retirement packages available in the world!!! One of the best perks of being a PGA Tour Member.

Nice Catch!!!

I never thought to look overseas . . . Thanks for posting!!!
“With all the attention on the debut (and the field) for the LIV Golf Invitational outside London next week, the Asian Tour heads to England for its second “International Series” event at Slaley Hall west of Newcastle.
The field at the Asian Tour event includes a pair of PGA Tour members, former U.S. Open champion Graeme McDowell and former U.S. Amateur champion Peter Uihlein, along with former U.S. Amateur champion Andy Ogletree, the low amateur at the 2000 Masters. Also playing is former U.S. Open champion Michael Campbell, who has played just 23 times since 2014.
Neither McDowell nor Uihlein was eligible for the Memorial, and the Asian Tour event offers a $2 million purse, compared with a $750,000 purse on the Korn Ferry Tour in North Carolina or the $1.9 million (1.75 million euros) on the European tour in Germany.
Because the Asian Tour is not being shown in North America, the players were not required to get releases from the other tours to play. Among European tour members in the field is Wade Ormsby of Australia.”
Makes sense for the known LIV participants to play in England the week before its inaugural tournament.

This is getting to be a lot to keep up with! I think I'll leave the overseas stuff to you guys and read your updates. I used to occasionally check on Michael Hoey, but I think I read that he was retiring from playing and was transitioning to a referee. So, I haven't looked beyond the PGA family tours in a while.

It sounds like, in addition to Kevin Na, Dustin Johnson, Sergio Garcia, Louis Oosthuizen, Charl Schwartzel, and Branden Grace have all resigned as well. If this keeps up, there will be more and more spots for our Tigers (excluding Turk of course). I wonder if/when they remove these guys from the FedExCup standings.
Apparently, Phil is not resigning. My guess is that he wants to stay in the spotlight by being the main one that takes the PGA TOUR to court when they try to suspend or expel him. That just feels like a Phil thing to do to me.
