The best thing about Spurrier's jabs
Apr 5, 2013, 8:49 AM

Is how the coots think he loves them and is defending SCAR. In reality, he (just like Lou Holtz) will get out of there ASAP and pretend he was never the coach there. Poor cooties

Get out of there ASAP? You do realize...

...that in all likelihood, he will be at USC longer than he was at Florida. He's having a great time and is no rush to leave.
I have no problem with him always being a Gator. Why not? He played there, won a Heisman trophy there, and graduated from there. He named their stadium, his name is all over their stadium, and they have a statue of him out front.
That's fine with me. Because on game day, he still wants to kick the crap out of them.

Very low expectations at SCAR. He can take a dump on the horseshoe and there will be line of mullets waiting to taste it. It's a great gig for him. But don't think for one minute he cares at all about scar. He will leave and never acknowledge he ever worked there

If that's true, and he will leave "ASAP,"
Apr 5, 2013, 11:45 AM
|

Then why hasn't he already? He has had plenty of chances to leave. Two that come to mind were after the loss to Iowa and the loss to uconn. If he really wanted to leave, he would be gone already, with good excuses to back up his decision.

I know one thing for sure, if Alabama called for Dabo he would not even take time to say goodbye. If Florida asked Spurrier, he would say no.

Dabo understands commitment and giving others opportunities to be great.
Spurrier knows 1001 ways to cut a player for personal gain.
These are just facts...not your speculations.

-- Spurrier said the last couple of years "have been fun" with USC going 31-9 from 2010-2012. He also said the USC coaches "have some of the best jobs in the world working for good people. We have it as good as anybody can have it. We just have to keep doing our jobs and make sure our players are appreciative of what they have too. I'm thankful to be here. I know my wife likes it here. It's a two-way street."

I guess you could say that winning a Heisman trophy is an accomplishment, one that Clemson has yet to accomplish.

or you could say winning a national title is one, winning multiple conference titles, having 4 undefeated seasons, winning multiple division titles, going to the BCS are all accomplishments that SCAR has yet to accomplish.

everything you read in the tabloids......example, "WHAT!?!?!?! CHAD BONO'S PREGNANT!!!!!" Bottom line is, you cant believe everything a coach, celebrity, or player says. how many coaches have said "i'm not leaving anytime soon," and left the very next week? or, "Im going to the University of South Carolina," and then went to clemson.....or the real carolina?

Until we start beating them on the field again, this is reality. Spurrier has made a career on it. So acknowledging his barbs on any level is just egg on our face - a zero sum game.
